Last years' club had 10 girls and we lost a few a long the way. It was all good -- one girl and her family move to another state, another girl mom started school on Saturday and another girl to the sport of soccer. Today, we had 11 girls and 2 who could not make it but will be at the February meeting. That's a total of 13 girls. Wow!! This is really going to be awesome!
Upon our arrival, hot chocolate, muffins, donuts, bagels, juice and coffee (for the moms) was ready for us to eat and drink. We didn't expect to have that. Nice treat. After eating, we all sat around the table and began our craft activity. We made friendship bracelets. It was going well until it was time to tie the string. We had a hard time. Even the moms. I don't think we'll be using that type of string again. The mom had their discussion about the organization of the book club while we worked on our friendship bracelets. Next month we will have our first discussion. Our book, Amelia Bedelia, Bookworm will be lead by Ms. Patricia and her daughter Kristina. We know Ms. Patricia will make it a lot of fun. Can't wait until next month!
